Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Emission Coordinator to oversee and coordinate changes in engine and aftertreatment systems, focusing on their impact on emissions performance, diagnostics, documentation, and regulatory compliance. In this role, your broad technical understanding and ability to connect the dots are key to managing complex change processes within global diesel engine development.

Your Responsibilities

• Coordinate and evaluate the technical impact of hardware, software, and calibration changes related to engine and aftertreatment systems
• Facilitate alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders on emissions, diagnostics, documentation, and system performance
• Review and approve release content, ensuring decisions are supported by clear data and analysis
• Create and maintain technical overviews to structure discussions and guide decision-making
• Manage and communicate clear release schedules across the engine/aftertreatment portfolio, ensuring alignment with program milestones
• Collaborate closely with global cross-functional teams in engineering, production, compliance, aftersales, and diagnostics

Your Profile

• Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in engine development or a comparable technical project engineering role
• Proven experience across the full diesel engine development lifecycle, with a strong focus on emissions and aftertreatment systems
• In-depth knowledge of diesel engine technology and aftertreatment integration (e.g. SCR, DPF), and how changes affect emissions and compliance
• Experience coordinating across functions with a strong understanding of the big picture and system-level trade-offs
• Strong data interpretation skills and experience with making well-supported release decisions
• Proactive and structured approach to problem solving
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
• Analytical thinking and ability to synthesize complex technical data
• Ability to challenge and validate technical decisions with confidence
• A team player who can lead discussions, build consensus, and drive decision-making
