Job summary

Delta Group is seeking a Senior Accountant - EMEA VAT Specialist to manage VAT compliance and advisory across multiple EMEA jurisdictions from the Hoofddorp region. The role interfaces with Finance, Tax, and business teams to ensure accurate statutory reporting and minimize VAT risk.

The position emphasizes process standardization, cross-border transactions, and interaction with tax authorities, requiring strong IFRS/GAAP knowledge and SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field.
• 5–8+ years of VAT / indirect tax experience within multinational environments.
• Strong exposure to EU/EMEA VAT regimes.
• Experience with statutory reporting and audits.
• Experience with SAP ERP.
• IFRS / local GAAP knowledge.
• Able to work across multiple jurisdictions and deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• VAT Compliance & Filing across multiple EMEA countries (monthly/quarterly/annual).
• Provide VAT advisory on cross-border transactions and new setups.
• Act as key contact for VAT audits and interactions with tax authorities.
• Drive standardization and automation of VAT processes across EMEA.
• Collaborate with local finance teams and non-tax stakeholders.
