Job summary

Delta Electronics EMEA in the Netherlands is seeking a Senior Accountant – EMEA VAT Specialist to lead VAT compliance across multiple jurisdictions, support cross-border transactions, and standardize processes.

You will partner with Finance, Tax, and business teams to ensure accurate statutory reporting, manage ESL and Intrastat, and drive improvements with ERP systems such as SAP.

This role demands 5–8+ years in VAT within a multinational environment, IFRS knowledge, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field.
• 5–8+ years of experience in VAT / indirect tax within multinational environments.
• Strong exposure to EMEA VAT regimes (EU VAT Directive, local country rules).
• Experience with statutory reporting and audit environments.
• Strong knowledge of VAT regulations across multiple EMEA jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• VAT Compliance & Filing across multi-country EMEA.
• Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns across EMEA countries.
• Manage ESL, Intrastat declarations, and other VAT reporting requirements.
• Monitor VAT payments and reconciliations; VAT accounting & reconciliation.
• Review VAT postings and tax codes in ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to VAT.
• Provide VAT advisory on cross-border transactions and complex business models.
• Coordinate with external advisors (e.g., Big4) when required.
