Job summary

BMC Software in the Netherlands or Poland seeks an experienced EMEA Senior Tax Associate to lead income tax accounting, compliance, planning, and audits. You will work with corporate accounting, treasury, and legal teams to support BMC’s global tax strategy.

The role emphasizes quarterly tax provisions, review of returns, cash tax forecasting, VAT and withholding tax compliance, and staying current on changing tax laws and ASC 740 impacts.

Qualifications

• RA certification preferred or in process.
• Large corporate tax experience preferred; Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong technical tax background with solid compliance skills.
• Proficient knowledge of US GAAP ASC 740 and tax impacts to financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of quarterly income tax accounting provisions for BMC’s 20+ EMEA entities / countries for the consolidated US GAAP financial statements and local statutory financial statements (including tax disclosures).
• Assist with outside tax consultants preparation of income tax compliance in each country.
• Review of income tax returns prepared by outside consultants and preparation of return to accrual calculations.
• Assist with cash tax forecasting.
• Assist with indirect tax matters such as VAT and withholding tax compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of changing tax laws and regulations, identify and implement necessary changes.
