Job summary

Cleeng is a Subscriber Retention Management company offering a remote front-end internship focused on building the dashboard for SVOD clients. You’ll collaborate with a global team to create reusable UI components and improve UX across time zones.

The 6-month internship requires at least 24 hours per week, with time windows 8 AM–5 PM UTC−01:00 to UTC+03:00, and provides exposure to React, Redux, and modern front-end tools in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Strong frontend fundamentals and good HTML/CSS/JS understanding.
• Familiar with React concepts and component-based architecture.
• Interest in UI/UX and accessibility best practices.
• Proactive learner with ability to collaborate across time zones.
• Good written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Build reusable and accessible UI components with React & styled-components.
• Manage the application's data layer (Redux, TanStack Query, Context API).
• Create new dashboard views by combining UI and data layers.
• Assist in scoping and feature brainstorming with cross-team input.
• Write documentation for processes and features; create unit tests.
• Collaborate in release and versioning processes.

Your Mission

We’re looking for an eager to learn front-end engineering intern for building subscriber management software. You’d join a team of developers working on improving the user experience and developing new features for the dashboard that helps our clients run their SVOD businesses. You’ll not only learn how to be a better developer, but as part of the interdisciplinary Broadcaster UX team, you’ll learn to apply good practices in UI development, gain experience in cross-team collaborations and work in an open environment with people from around the world.

The internship lasts for 6 months, requiring at least 24 hours per week between 8 AM and 5 PM in time zones from UTC−01:00 to UTC+03:00.

Job summary

Key Responsibilities

• Creating reusable and accessible UI components with React & styled-components,
• Handling the application’s data layer (Redux, TanStack Query, Context API),
• Combining the above to create new views in the dashboard,
• Helping in the process of scoping & general feature brainstorming,
• Writing documentation of processes & features,
• Creating unit tests,
• Collaboration in the release & versioning processes,

Required Skills and Experience

• Decent understanding of how React works: writing functional components, handling state & effects; understanding asynchronous code, with error handling, and how and when to show intermediate component state,
• Good knowledge of HTML is key: accessible roles of specific elements, knowing which elements can be nested in others, and which are not allowed; they need to understand how good markup translates to a good user experience,
• Attention to detail and the willingness to expand their front-end dev knowledge,
• A good understanding of CSS: how the cascade works, what is specificity and inheritance; how and when to use Flexbox, Grid, media queries, and so on,
• Knowledge of JS is core to being a good React dev: the differences between primitive & non-primitive data types in JavaScript, promises & asynchronous code, basic understanding of the JS event loop, array functions, events, variable scopes,
• A good grasp of REST API concepts,
• Familiarity with version control systems (specifically Git),
• General understanding of browser rendering & interoperability,
• Understanding the network stack, HTTP statuses, how browsers talk with servers, CORS, and so on,
• A decent grasp of TypeScript syntax and concepts is a definite bonus, since we’re in the process of converting our codebase from JS,
• Good communication skills in English
• Active student status or being fresh graduate
