Job summary

KRUSH Labs in Eindhoven is seeking an Embedded Software QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of firmware running on microcontrollers and SBCs. You will design test plans, execute functional and integration tests, and document results, working closely with software and hardware teams to reproduce and report issues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA experience, including embedded systems
• Experience testing microcontroller-based systems (e.g., STM32) and SBCs (e.g., Raspberry Pi)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for software/firmware testing
• Strong test design techniques and coverage across units, integration, and system levels
• Ability to establish traceability from requirements to tests, defects and release criteria
• Awareness of ASPICE/SPICE and MISRA checking workflows

Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements related to product, firmware functionality and test benches
• Design, develop, and maintain test documentation for functional coverage
• Execute test scenarios and report testing results and progress
• Identify, reproduce, and document defects with steps and reports
• Prepare test reports and participate in team meetings
• Contribute to development and validation of advanced R&D products
• Build verification strategy across firmware, embedded software and hardware integration
• Ensure traceability from requirements to tests, defects, and release criteria
• Support ASPICE-aligned engineering process and evidence collection
• Run static analysis and coordinate MISRA checks
• Define regression campaigns for embedded builds and interfaces
• Produce test reports for internal quality review and customer confidence
