Job summary

ABB E-mobility invites motivated Bachelor or Master students to join in embedded software testing and quality assurance for EV charging tech. You will learn testing processes, execute and automate tests, investigate defects, and maintain thorough documentation while collaborating with software, hardware and test engineers.

AI-assisted testing ideas will be explored responsibly. You will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced engineering environment with opportunities to grow and develop

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of software development and software testing principles.
• Experience with Python, C, or C++ is a plus.
• Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Jenkins or similar tools is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of AI concepts or AI-assisted testing tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn the Testing Craft – Get hands-on with testing processes, tools, and EV charging products.
• Execute & Automate Tests – Run manual and automated tests to verify embedded software.
• Investigate & Report Defects – Analyze results and document defects with evidence and steps.
• Own Your Documentation – Maintain test cases, results and defect records.
• Collaborate Across Engineering – Work with software, hardware and test engineers.
• Drive Continuous Improvement – Contribute ideas to testing and automation processes.
• Explore AI-Assisted Testing – Position yourself at the forefront with AI tools for testing.
