Job summary

Visual Productions BV in Haarlem is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize firmware for lighting controllers. You will collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure reliable embedded systems and high performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in embedded software development, preferably C/C++ & ARM-Cortex.
• Strong RTOS knowledge and microcontroller/microprocessor experience.
• Hardware-software integration and debugging experience.
• Familiarity with UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet.
• Low-level hardware interfaces and peripherals knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving and fast-paced work ability.
• Teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
• Git and Agile experience is a plus.
• Proficient in English (Dutch is not required).
• Living in the Netherlands or EU and relocating.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement embedded software for lighting controllers.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and specifications.
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code for embedded platforms.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software to ensure quality and reliability.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the embedded domain.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
• Work closely with the tech-support team to support software testing and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in embedded software development.
