Job summary

Philips, in collaboration with Randstad Professional, seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to design, implement, and test software and interfaces for manufacturing and component integration.

You will collaborate with external suppliers, develop robust test plans and automated testing, mentor junior engineers, and present strategic design proposals to senior management while ensuring compliance with medical device quality standards such as ISO 13485 and IEC 62304.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• At least 4 years of embedded software development and test automation experience.
• Experience with medical device quality/regulatory standards (ISO 13485, IEC 62304).
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test embedded software and interfaces for manufacturing and component integration.
• Collaborate with external suppliers to oversee supplier-developed embedded software.
• Develop and execute robust test plans and automated testing protocols for electronic product parts.
• Perform advanced root-cause troubleshooting to eliminate production downtime.
• Evaluate and approve new vendor components and technologies per Philips standards.
