Job summary

Philips, in collaboration with Randstad Professional, seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to design, implement, and test software and interfaces for manufacturing and component integration.

You will collaborate with external suppliers, develop robust test plans and automated testing, mentor junior engineers, and present strategic design proposals to senior management while ensuring compliance with medical device quality standards such as ISO 13485 and IEC 62304.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• At least 4 years of embedded software development and test automation experience.
• Experience with medical device quality/regulatory standards (ISO 13485, IEC 62304).
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

In this position, you translate complex engineering requirements into optimal embedded software and interface solutions. You work closely with component suppliers, guide comprehensive validation protocols, and apply advanced troubleshooting to prevent production downtime. Beyond technical execution, you mentor junior engineers, evaluate external vendor technologies, and present strategic design proposals to senior management.
