Job summary

Thales Nederland is seeking an (Electronics) Component Engineer to manage electronics components used in high-end analog and digital circuitry on PCBs. You will link design teams with purchasing, obsolescence engineering and vendors in an international setting.

Your role covers market research, vendor relations, database maintenance, policy implementation, and ensuring component availability for production. English fluency expected; Dutch/French a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Background in hardware design.
• Independent but collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain expertise in electronics components and catalogs.
• Maintain contacts with component vendors, suppliers, buyers, manufacturers and Thales sites.
• Maintain the electronic database of components (off-the-shelf and customized).
• Discuss and implement policies regarding electronics components.
• Ensure availability of suitable components for product builds.
• Select, introduce, approve and manage purchased components.
• Analyze and develop solutions for obsolete components and supplies.
