Job summary

Thales Hengelo is seeking a Specialist Electrical Components to lead the purchasing of complex electrical parts used in radar systems. You will define requirements for power supplies and transformers, coordinate with suppliers, and work with RF, processing, and system engineering teams to ensure integration with the radar system.

You will engage with global suppliers, aim for cost reductions, and support delivery schedules while traveling to supplier sites when necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in electrical engineering.
• Define requirements for complex electrical parts with other specialists.
• Strong communication skills for multidisciplinary teams and suppliers.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Purchase complex electrical components and subsystems for radar hardware.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Industry teams to source from international suppliers.
• Define requirements for Power Supplies, transformers, and related parts with engineers.
• Monitor costs and lead times, drive cost reductions, and coordinate supplier activities.
• Travel to supplier sites as needed.
