Job summary
Malvern Panalytical is seeking an Equipment Engineer (Electronics / Industrial Automation) to shape the roadmap for X-ray tubes and detectors. You’ll work in a multidisciplinary team, driving electronics and machine controls across high voltage, vacuum, and precision tooling. Join a global, innovation-driven environment in Eindhoven.
You’ll collaborate with Process Engineering, Maintenance, R&D, and operations while exploring external partnerships. Dutch and English fluency valued.
Qualifications
- Bachelor (HBO) or Master (TU) degree in Electronics / Industrial Automation.
- Preferably several years of work experience in an Electronics or Industrial Automation Engineering role.
- Experience with software tools such as electronics simulation, PLC, LabVIEW, data acquisition, and data analysis.
- Experience in leading projects or the ambition to grow in a role as a project leader.
- Broad technical interest in software, mechanics, and physics.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team, with an analytical and pragmatic mindset.
- Customer-focused and quality-conscious with good communication skills.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, with experience in analogue technology and/or high voltage as an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-tech equipment for the production and advancement of X-ray tubes and system key modules like detectors.
- Work on cutting-edge technology in electronics and machine controls across high voltage, high vacuum, nano-ampere measurements, thin-layer deposition, precision positioning, high-frequency soldering, (laser) welding, and industrial automation.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments such as Process Engineering, Maintenance, R&D, and operations, while engaging with specialized external companies to further develop machine concepts.
- Take on or develop into a project leadership role for the equipment of the future, depending on your experience.
