Job summary

Resolvo Engineering B.V. in the Netherlands is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support a food production facility in Nieuwkoop. You will troubleshoot and maintain electrical installations and production machinery, working with a diverse range of process equipment and automated lines.

Qualifications

• An MBO-4, HBO, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field.
• Relevant experience in electrical engineering, industrial maintenance, process installations, or production machinery.
• Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems and fault diagnosis.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical schematics.
• Knowledge of motors, sensors, control panels, frequency drives, and electrical installations.
• Basic knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation is an advantage.
• Proactive troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical improvements.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and troubleshoot electrical faults in industrial machinery and process installations.
• Maintain, repair, and improve electrical systems, motors, pumps, sensors, and frequency drives.
• Support the operation of mixers, conveyors, packaging machines, and automated production lines.
• Diagnose faults in electrical control panels and industrial installations.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Support PLC‑controlled machinery and industrial automation systems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and implement corrective measures.
• Assist with testing, commissioning, and technical modifications to existing equipment.
• Identify recurring technical issues and propose improvements to machine reliability.
• Work closely with production operators and the maintenance team to minimize downtime.
• Ensure all engineering and maintenance activities comply with applicable safety, hygiene, and company standards.
• Participate in breakdown support and on‑call services when required.

For an international food production company in the Nieuwkoop area, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to strengthen the technical maintenance team.

You will work in a diverse industrial environment involving process equipment, mixers, pumps, motors, conveyors, packaging machines, sensors, control panels, and automated production lines. Your electrical expertise will help prevent breakdowns, improve equipment reliability, and ensure safe and efficient production.

This is a hands‑on engineering position offering a direct employment contract with the employer, a salary of up to €4,600 gross per month, and opportunities to develop your technical skills in an international production environment.

Your role

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving electrical installations and production machinery.

Working closely with maintenance colleagues and production operators, you will identify technical problems, implement solutions, and support improvements to existing equipment. You will play an important role in minimizing downtime and maintaining production continuity.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a practical and solution‑oriented Electrical Engineer with a technical background and an interest in industrial production.

• An MBO‑4, HBO, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field.

• Relevant experience in electrical engineering, industrial maintenance, process installations, or production machinery.

• A solid understanding of industrial electrical systems and fault diagnosis.

• The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical schematics.

• Knowledge of motors, sensors, control panels, frequency drives, and electrical installations.

• Basic knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation is an advantage.

• A valid Category B driving licence is required.

• Fluency in English or Dutch; knowledge of the other language is an advantage.
