Job summary

Trinamics is partnering with a global technology client in the The Hague area to recruit a senior electrical engineering leader. You will head a small team of engineers from design through manufacturing to factory testing and commissioning of modular substations for data centers.

You will verify distribution systems, coordinate interfaces with customers, and write technical specifications and commissioning plans. Fluent English is required; Dutch is a plus. Hybrid work up to 50% from home.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably 10+.
• Knowledge of E-houses, LV, MV, transformers, UPS systems, protection, and construction/manufacturing procedures.
• Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of at least two engineers per project, from technical design through manufacturing to factory testing and commissioning.
• Verify electrical distribution systems and coordinate interfaces with customers.
• Investigate technical issues and advise on layouts, components, cable selection, termination kits, earthing and grounding.
• Write technical specifications, assembly plans and commissioning plans.
• Lead FAT/FWT test work at client factories and at third-party suppliers.
• Coordinate progress in factories and resolve remaining technical issues, with focus on quality control and ITPs.
• Estimate engineering hours and the commercial impact of additional work.
• Work closely with customers, factories, suppliers, lead engineers, sales, procurement and other internal departments.
• Mainly hardware engineering, with occasional software-related issues.

Its fast-growing modular infrastructure department delivers prefabricated modular substations (E-houses and skids) to the international data center industry. The department has an international team with engineers from all over the world.
