Arup in Amsterdam seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for medium to large projects within our MEP team. You will prepare design documentation, specify electrical systems, and ensure quality, budget, and schedule adherence on diverse building projects.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, present designs to clients, and mentor junior colleagues while delivering sustainable, high-performing environments.

As a Electrical Engineer at Arup, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team. Within the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health) department, you’ll serve our clients through leading-edge projects. With these projects, we aim to fulfil our vision of designing and delivering regenerative buildings that add value to society.
You’ll work on the electrical engineering subdiscipline for medium to large-scale projects, leading packages of work for the design of electrical installations such as power systems, lighting systems, emergency power systems, electrical distribution systems, as well as fire detection and evacuation systems. You’ll be contributing to quality control, meeting deadlines, and budget control within the discipline.
You’re capable of conceptualizing assignments and translating them into fully detailed designs, while also ensuring high-quality supervision during project execution. You make an impact by completing your tasks professionally and on time, proactively and accurately guiding junior team members, and collaborating with colleagues and other stakeholders.
