Job summary

MSD Animal Health Nederland is seeking an EHS Biosafety Officer for our Boxmeer site. You will act as the biosafety expert across R&D and manufacturing, ensuring safe handling of biological agents and GMO activities while supporting regulatory compliance and program development.

The role focuses on risk assessments, biocontainment system optimization, and continuous improvement of biosafety processes to protect employees, products, and the environment in a GMP context.

Qualifications

• Experience managing risks with biological agents and GMOs.
• Understanding of biocontainment systems and concepts.
• Ability to analyze data and provide clear, actionable recommendations to management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the biosafety expert for the site, guiding risk assessments and control strategies.
• Develop and implement biosafety programs and regulatory compliance.
• Support design and modification of biocontainment facilities and verification processes.
• Conduct biosafety program assessments, area inspections and audits.
• Contribute to an effective biosafety training program for management and staff.
