Job summary

You will join a dynamic engineering team at Trinamics in The Hague, the Netherlands, working on E-Houses: prefabricated substations for data centers and large-scale industrial power distribution. You will collaborate with Lead Engineers, customers and suppliers to deliver complete, reliable power distribution solutions from concept to FAT and handover.

The role combines engineering with customer interaction, factory visits and international projects, offering growth in a global data center

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with electrical engineering, power distribution or multidisciplinary technical projects.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Basic knowledge of Dutch or willingness to learn Dutch.
• Valid driver's license.
• VCA-VOL certification or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed electrical designs for E-Houses and power distribution systems.
• Work on electrical interfaces, layouts, component selection, cabling and containment.
• Support the integration of low-voltage, medium-voltage and busbar systems.
• Review basic and detailed designs and project documentation.
• Work closely with customers and suppliers on technical and project-related matters.
• Investigate technical issues and propose practical solutions.
• Support the design and integration of HVAC, fire safety and other E-House infrastructure.
• Prepare complete technical documentation packages.
• Organize and attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Provide technical support to production and during on-site delivery.
• Support the project handover and closing process.
• Identify and implement improvements to engineering processes, products and projects.
• Visit factories and project sites in the Netherlands and abroad.

E-House Electrical Engineer – Data Centers

The Role

You will join a dynamic engineering team working on E-Houses: prefabricated substations that are used as power distribution centers for large-scale industrial and data center applications.

The business is growing rapidly, with medium- to large-scale projects taking place around the world. As an E-House Electrical Engineer, you will work closely with Lead Engineers, Electrical Engineers, customers, suppliers and manufacturing locations to deliver complete and reliable power distribution solutions.

You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from the initial concept and detailed engineering through factory testing, delivery and final handover.

Because projects have demanding requirements and short delivery times, you will work in a dynamic environment where no two projects are exactly the same.

What will you do?

Depending on your experience and interests, your responsibilities can include:

• Creating detailed electrical designs for E-Houses and power distribution systems.
• Working on electrical interfaces, layouts, component selection, cabling and containment.
• Supporting the integration of low-voltage, medium-voltage and busbar systems.
• Reviewing basic and detailed designs and project documentation.
• Working closely with customers and suppliers on technical and project-related matters.

What do you bring?

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with a hands-on mindset and a genuine interest in power engineering and complex technical systems.

You have:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with electrical engineering, power distribution or multidisciplinary technical projects.
• An interest in electrical systems, power distribution and complex technical installations.
• A precise and analytical approach to your work.
• A positive, critical and solution-oriented mindset.
• A flexible and hands-on attitude.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to ask questions and challenge existing solutions when necessary.
• A willingness to learn and develop yourself technically.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Basic knowledge of Dutch or the willingness to learn Dutch.
• A valid driver's license.
• VCA-VOL, or the willingness to obtain it.

Experience with low- and medium-voltage systems, switchgear, busbars or E-Houses is a plus.

Where will you work?

Your main workplace will The Hague, the Netherlands. From there, you will work with an experienced engineering team on projects for customers across the globe.

You will also regularly visit manufacturing locations and project sites. These visits give you the opportunity to see your designs move from engineering and production to testing and final delivery.
