Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking a Transport Planner to create and optimize transport plans, ensuring efficient routing, optimal vehicle utilization and timely deliveries. You will coordinate orders, routes, fleet capacity and drivers while keeping customer service at the core of operations.

You will work with the transportation team and stakeholders to resolve planning issues, maintain documentation and ensure smooth day-to-day transport activities in a dynamic logistics environment.

• Create and manage daily transport plans allocating orders to efficient routes.
• Optimize route planning to improve efficiency and delivery performance.
• Coordinate fleet capacity and driver allocation.
• Monitor schedules, identify deviations and resolve issues promptly.
• Provide direction to drivers for smooth execution of transport activities.
• Maintain accurate transport documentation and records.
• Communicate with freight forwarders, brokers and carriers.
• Maintain strong customer focus with reliable, timely service.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and efficiency.
• Work with procedures, requirements and customer expectations.
