Job summary

Rijnlands Lyceum is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join the International School of The Hague in Kijkduin. You will support learning during teacher absences, maintaining high standards and a positive classroom climate for students aged 11–18.

The role requires strong behaviour management, ICT proficiency, and a commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and student wellbeing. Two contracts are available: temporary and longer-term, full-time, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills.
• Confidence working with students aged 11–18 in an international school setting.
• High resilience, flexibility, and strong communication skills.
• Good ICT skills and confidence using digital learning tools.
• Genuine commitment to student wellbeing, safeguarding, inclusion, and equity.
• Desirable: IB MYP/DP knowledge or experience in secondary schools.
• Right to work in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Supervise secondary classes using plans and resources provided by regular teachers.
• Set clear expectations, keep students focused, and monitor progress during tasks.
• Create a calm, respectful learning environment where every student feels supported.
• Assist students with SEND and EAL needs.
• Apply school behaviour policies and safeguarding guidelines.
• Register attendance accurately using iSAMS and provide feedback to teachers.
