Job summary

Rijnlands Lyceum in The Hague seeks an Integrated Science Teacher for the English section. You will deliver engaging science lessons to learners aged 11–14, following the European Baccalaureate curriculum, and plan safe lab activities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, and proficiency in English at CEFR C2. You’ll join a diverse, international team and grow through ongoing professional development and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or Physics required.
• Proficiency in English at CEFR C2 level.
• Experience teaching students aged 11–18, ideally in international settings.
• Open attitude to long-term feedback and continuous learning.
• Hands-on, proactive approach with ability to differentiate instruction.
• Team player willing to contribute to extra-curricular activities.
• Knowledge of additional EU languages is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Integrated Science lessons to students aged 11-14, following the European Baccalaureate curriculum.
• Plan and deliver safe lessons with lab experiments.
• Encourage creative thinking and skill development through varied teaching methods.
• Create an inclusive classroom where every student’s talent is nurtured.
• Collaborate with a team of educators, lab assistants and helpers to support the program.
