Job summary

The International School of The Hague in Kijkduin seeks a Cover Supervisor to seamlessly fill teacher absences in the secondary classrooms. This full-time role emphasizes strong classroom management, safeguarding, and a supportive approach to 11–18 students in an international setting.

You will supervise classes using prepared plans, uphold behaviour policies, support SEND and EAL learners, and help maintain a calm, engaging learning environment while contributing to the school's inclusive ethos

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills.
• Experience with students aged 11–18 in an international school.
• Good ICT skills and confidence using digital learning tools.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and equity.
• Desirable: experience in secondary schools or knowledge of IB MYP/DP.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes using plans and resources provided by regular teachers.
• Set clear expectations, keep students focused, and monitor progress.
• Create a calm, respectful learning environment.
• Assist students with SEND and EAL needs.
• Apply school behaviour policies and safeguarding guidelines.
• Register attendance with iSAMS and provide feedback to class teachers.
