Job summary

Summa College in Eindhoven zoekt een docent Nederlands die studenten helpt hun mondeling en schriftelijk Nederlands te verbeteren en te verbinden met hun opleiding en toekomstige beroep in de luchtvaart. Je verzorgt lessen, begeleidt taalontwikkeling, bereidt examens voor, ontwikkelt lesmateriaal en bewaakt voortgang.

Samenwerking met collega's zorgt voor een zo sterk mogelijke koppeling van Nederlands aan de beroepscontext.

Qualifications

• Second-degree teaching qualification in Dutch or PABO diploma.
• In het laatste jaar van de opleiding docent? nodigt u uit om te reageren.
• Passie voor onderwijs en studentontwikkeling.
• In staat studenten te motiveren, te activeren en uit te dagen.
• Actief verbinding zoeken met studenten en collega's.
• Coaching-mentaliteit en goede pedagogische/ didactische vaardigheden.
• Initiatief nemen en bijdragen aan een positieve leeromgeving.

Responsibilities

• U geeft Nederlandse lessen.
• U begeleidt en coacht studenten in hun taalontwikkeling.
• U bereidt studenten voor op Nederlandse toetsen en examens.
• U ontwikkelt en actualiseert lesmateriaal.
• U bewaakt de voortgang van studenten en stemt af op verschillende niveaus en behoeften.
• U werkt samen met collega's om Nederlands zoveel mogelijk te koppelen aan de beroepscontext.
• In eerste instantie binnen Aviation Services, later mogelijk binnen Hospitality & Food.
• Afhankelijk van ontwikkelingen kan betrokkenheid ook binnen Hospitality & Food plaatsvinden.

Your impact as a Dutch teacher

• You help students grow in their oral and written language skills.
• You make Dutch relevant by connecting it to their education and future profession.

This is what you will do as a Dutch teacher

• You teach Dutch lessons.
• You guide and coach students in their language development.
• You prepare students for Dutch tests and exams.
• You develop and update teaching materials.
• You monitor student progress and respond to different levels and learning needs.
• You work with colleagues to connect Dutch as much as possible to the professional context of students.
• You will initially start working within Aviation Services. Here, students are prepared for a future in an international and welcoming environment, where good communication, service, and professionalism are important.
• Depending on developments within education, your involvement may also take place within Hospitality & Food.

This is what we offer you

• A salary in accordance with the MBO collective labor agreement, scale LB, between €3.713 and €5.495, depending on education and experience.
• A temporary appointment for 0,6 FTE for a duration of one year. Subject to unchanged circumstances, there is scope to extend the appointment.
• A year-end bonus of 8,33%, ABP pension fund, a laptop and phone on loan.
• The opportunity to further develop yourself through a training program, course, or the annual development festival.
