The Amsterdam International Community School is seeking a qualified and fluent Dutch-speaking teacher for our Language department, with a strong interest in inquiry-based learning and ideally experience with the IB Middle Years Programme and Diploma.

While experience in Dutch language teaching is welcome, we are open to talented secondary teachers of other subjects who are fluent in Dutch, supported by professional development to gain the Dutch qualification.

Qualificações

• A valid teaching qualification recognised by DUO to teach in a Secondary school in the Netherlands.
• Fluency in Dutch and English; interest in Dutch as a foreign language.
• Experience with diverse learners and international teams.
• Knowledge of teaching methods and inquiry-based learning.
• Commitment to the IB programme (MYP/DP) is a plus.
• Willingness to pursue professional development to obtain Dutch qualification.

Responsabilidades

• Teach Dutch language in secondary level within the Language department.
• Develop and deliver inquiry-based Dutch lessons.
• Collaborate with international faculty and parents to support pupil development.
• Support students from diverse cultural backgrounds and language needs.
