Driver & Warehouse Operative

Department: Facilities Management

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Duiven, Netherlands

Reporting To: Facilities Manager

Compensation: €34,128 / year

Description

At Vintage.com, we’re building the most trusted platform for pre-loved items. We help people give valuable things a new life, making the experience simple, transparent and rewarding.

We bring together specialist knowledge, thoughtful technology and genuine care for our customers. By helping more items stay in circulation, we create value for people and make a positive impact at the same time.

Our Facilities Team helps create a safe, welcoming and well-maintained workplace where everyone can do their best work. Based at our Netherlands sites, we keep our spaces clean, organised and ready for our teams.

We work closely with all teams across the business to keep our sites running smoothly. We support the movement of people, stock and supplies and make sure our workplaces are safe and well looked after.

We're a practical, hands-on team. We take pride in our work, respond to what the business needs and work together to keep our sites working at their best.

As a Driver & Warehouse Operative, you’ll help keep our Netherlands operations connected by moving stock, equipment, supplies and colleagues safely and efficiently between our sites and local transport hubs.

A big part of your role will be driving, making sure the right people and items get to the right place at the right time. When you’re not on the road, you’ll support our Logistics and Operations teams with the practical work needed to keep stock moving through our sites.

This is a hands-on role that involves regular loading, unloading and movement of boxes, stock and equipment. You’ll work independently while driving and as part of the wider team on site, adapting your day as operational priorities change.

By keeping transport reliable and stock moving safely, you’ll help our teams work efficiently and keep valuable pre-loved items moving through our operation.

  • Stock, equipment and supplies reach the right location safely and on time.
  • Colleagues receive a safe, reliable and friendly transport service between agreed locations.
  • Vehicles are checked, clean, safe and ready to use when needed.
  • Stock is loaded, unloaded and moved carefully and efficiently, with items reaching the correct location.
  • Warehouse and logistics areas remain organised, accessible and safe.
  • Transport schedules, vehicle checks and required records are completed accurately and on time.
  • You adapt to changing operational priorities and support the areas where you’re needed most.
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive safely between our Netherlands sites, transporting stock, equipment and supplies so they reach the right teams when needed.
  • Transport colleagues safely and reliably between agreed local transport hubs and our sites.
  • Plan efficient routes using GPS and navigation tools, adapting to traffic, collections and changing operational priorities.
  • Secure stock and equipment correctly before transport, handling items carefully throughout their journey.
  • Coordinate collections and deliveries with colleagues and external suppliers to keep planned movements running smoothly.
  • Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently, taking care when handling stock and equipment.
  • Move boxes, stock and equipment between vehicles, warehouses and work areas so operational teams have what they need.
  • Organise stock in designated areas so it remains safe, accessible and easy for teams to locate.
  • Use pallet trucks, forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely when trained and authorised to do so.
  • Support daily stock movements and wider warehouse priorities when additional capacity is needed.
  • Keep warehouse and logistics areas clean, organised and clear so people and stock can move around the site safely.
  • Complete required vehicle checks before driving, making sure vehicles are safe and ready to use.
  • Report vehicle faults, damage or maintenance requirements promptly so issues can be resolved before they affect operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle checks, journeys and maintenance where required.
  • Organise your workload around transport, delivery and collection schedules so agreed movements happen on time.
  • Adapt your priorities throughout the day, moving between driving and warehouse responsibilities as operational needs change.
  • Raise recurring transport, stock movement or operational issues and share practical ideas that could make the process safer or more efficient.
  • Follow road safety, manual-handling and workplace safety requirements at all times.
  • Check that stock, equipment and other goods are loaded and secured correctly before every journey.
  • Use vehicles and warehouse equipment only when appropriately trained and authorised.
  • Report accidents, damage, hazards and safety concerns promptly and follow the appropriate reporting procedures.
  • Maintain any licences, training or certifications required to safely perform the role.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Experience in driving, logistics, warehousing or another hands-on operational role.
  • A strong understanding of road safety and safe driving practices.
  • Ability to handle and move stock and equipment carefully and safely.
  • Good organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work to agreed schedules.
  • A reliable and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt when operational priorities change.
  • Clear and friendly communication skills when working with colleagues and external suppliers.
  • Ability to work confidently and responsibly when driving independently and as part of a team when working on site.
  • Ability to carry out the practical requirements of the role, including regular movement around the site and handling and moving boxes, stock and equipment.
  • Ability to follow transport, warehouse and safety procedures consistently.
  • Experience driving regularly between multiple operational sites.
  • Experience handling vintage, fragile or high-value goods.
  • Experience using stock or warehouse management systems.
  • Forklift or other material-handling certification.
  • Experience working in a busy logistics or warehouse environment.
  • A valid Dutch driving licence appropriate for the vehicles used in the role.

In this role, living our values means:

  • Treat colleagues, suppliers and every item you transport with care, respect and consideration.
  • Take pride in providing a safe, reliable service and doing what you say you’ll do.
  • Stay curious and look for practical ways to make journeys, stock movements and day-to-day logistics work better.
  • Work as one team, supporting colleagues and stepping into warehouse priorities when extra help is needed.
  • Take ownership of safety, speak up when something isn’t right and follow through when an issue needs attention.
