Job summary

Royal IHC is seeking a Designer/Engineer to lead design discussions during the sales cycle, translating customer requirements into technical concepts for the Beaver product portfolio. You will act as a bridge between customers, Sales, Product Management, and engineering, delivering compelling, technically sound solutions.

You will work on international opportunities, applying market insight, sustainability, and digitalization trends to create commercially competitive and operationally effective

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant naval engineering disciplines.
• At least 3 years as a Designer or Engineer in dredging or related sectors.
• Strong commercial mindset coupled with technical expertise.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and project coordination abilities.
• Understanding of global trends like sustainability and digitalization in dredging.
• Ability to evaluate design alternatives and provide solid decision support.
• Curiosity about customers, their operations and challenges.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary focal point for all design-related topics during the sales process.
• Analyze customer requests and identify operational requirements and challenges.
• Serve as the bridge between customers, Sales, Product Management, and engineering disciplines.
• Develop technical concepts and customized solutions based on the Beaver product portfolio.
• Coordinate input from internal stakeholders and ensure timely delivery of technical information.
• Support the preparation of commercial proposals with design studies and specifications.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear customer value propositions.
• Monitor global dredging market developments to identify opportunities for product improvement.
