Are you a driven engineer with a passion for technology and shipbuilding at the highest quality?
We want to hear from you!
We are looking for an ambitious Draftsman to join our Mechanical Engineering Department. We need an engineer who will enjoy the challenge of creating customised solutions for yachts of the highest quality level.
As a Draftsman in the Mechanical Engineering Department, you are the critical link between all departments involved in the technological development of our yachts. Together with the Project Leader and the Planner, you will work on the technical completion of the yacht including ventilation and heating systems, hydraulic installations and sanitary facilities. In short, you will be involved in everything you do not see, but is essential for the yacht to work.
You will draw the plumbing system, piping scheme and routing based on the design plan. You will draw panels and other components, and you will create the layout of the technical spaces. You will use AutoCAD combined with specialist 2D- and 3D-drawing packages. In this complex puzzle, you are an essential piece that connects Engineering, Production and suppliers. You will check if the technical drawings are correct and if the designs are according to the standards of the industry. You will make sure if the suppliers have all the needed materials in time and if they are delivered according to the specifications. Thanks to your preparations the building process will run efficiently. Every yacht at Heesen is unique. A deck with an integrated cinema screen? A tender hidden behind a wing door? These high tech innovations are the tip of the iceberg and offer diversity in this role.
The Engineering Department is divided into three divisions: Shipbuilding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Interior Engineering. The Shipbuilding Engineering Department is responsible for the entire construction of the yacht. The Mechanical Engineering Department takes care of the technical and motoric construction of the yacht. The Interior Engineering Department is responsible for the interior design and equipment of the yacht.
In the Mechanical Engineering Department, you will work with the complete technical design of the yacht, not just isolated segments. Every yacht built at our shipyard in Oss is unique and, as a Draftsman, you will be involved in the entire yacht construction – from technical drawings to communicating with yacht crew. The production halls are adjacent to your workplace, meaning that you can view the immediate implementation of your ideas. Working in a close international team, you will enjoy direct communication, an open atmosphere and a shared passion for high-quality with your colleagues.
You are an ambitious engineer and driven in your work with a passion for the technical. You love to push yourself and are in your element when you encounter complex technological challenges. You are studious, and you like to apply your broad knowledge of generic systems with expert know-how to your work. You are a flexible, independent worker who can adapt to challenging situations with ease. You are a clear communicator and a social colleague, ready to work in a close team.
At Heesen, the happiness of our employees is important to us. That’s why we offer all Heesen employees a job with responsibility, collegiality and appreciation. You will get all the space to further develop yourself and grow.
