The International Criminal Court in The Hague seeks a qualified candidate for a post within the Translation Support and Terminology Unit. Reporting to the Translation Coordination Assistant, you will assist with clerical and information management tasks and support language services.
Applicants should have a secondary education diploma, at least four years of relevant experience, and proficiency in English or French, with knowledge of an additional official court language an asset.

A roster of suitable candidates may be established for this post as a result of this selection process for fixed-term appointments against both established posts and positions funded by general temporary assistance (GTA).
Under the direct supervision of the Translation Coordination Assistant and overall supervision of the Head of the Translation Support and Terminology Unit, the incumbent will perform the following duties:
Diploma of secondary education.
A minimum of four years of progressively responsible professional experience, preferably, but not exclusively, in clerical and administrative assistance or document and information management. A university degree, being at advanced or first-level, may be considered as a substitute for two years’ of working experience only to determine eligibility. Work experience in a language services setting would be an asset.
Proficiency in one of the working languages of the Court, English or French, is required. Working knowledge of the other is desirable. Knowledge of another official language of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish), Dutch or languages related to any of the cases before the Court will be considered an asset.

Candidates appointed to posts at a P-5 grade or in the Director category are subject to a maximum aggregate length of service of seven years. This is pursuant to a decision of the Assembly of States Parties (ASP Resolution ICC-ASP/23/Res.2 - ICC-ASP-23-Res.2-ENG [link removed] ) to implement a tenure policy at the Court as of 1 January 2025.
