Job summary

Biolegio B.V. in Nijmegen is seeking a Laboratory Technician (DNA Synthesis) to support the production of synthetic DNA, from synthesis to shipping, within an informal, international team.

The role offers a 40-hour week, a salary between €2,550 and €3,600 depending on experience, and on-the-job training with a negotiable start date. You will be part of a collaborative environment focused on innovative biotechnology.

Qualifications

• MLO diploma or equivalent (chemistry/molecular biology).
• At least 6 months of laboratory experience.
• Ability to work accurately and precisely.
• Basic knowledge of pipetting, molecular calculations, and DNA techniques.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
• English is required in an international team.

Responsibilities

• Performing DNA synthesis and post-processing of samples.
• Checking yields (Plate reader, Nanodrop).
• Purifying DNA (HPLC, gel electrophoresis).
• Performing quality control (LC & MS).
• Preparing products for shipment.
• Maintaining laboratory equipment (DNA synthesizers & Hamilton liquid handler).
