Job summary

Versuni in Amsterdam is seeking a senior strategy and corporate development leader with 12+ years of experience to drive value creation across growth, margin expansion and transformations. You will own enterprise-level analyses, business cases and stakeholder communication for the executive team.

You'll shape priorities with cross-functional leadership, deliver executive-ready insights, and track value delivery across global functions from idea to impact.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Strategy, Corporate development, Business transformation or related senior roles.
• Top-tier management consulting experience (preferred 3–5 years) and industry experience in Strategy, Corporate development, FP&A, Transformation or Value creation.
• Strong financial modelling capabilities (advanced Excel) and deep understanding of P&L mechanics, cash flow and value levers.

Responsibilities

The impact you'll make:

• Strategic & Financial Analysis: Lead enterprise-level strategic and financial analysis to identify, size and prioritise value creation opportunities across growth, margin expansion, cost productivity, working capital and cash flow. Own sales forecasts, P&L scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis and value pool assessments, translating findings into clear recommendations for senior decision-makers and the annual strategy planning exercise.
• Business Case Development: Own end-to-end business case creation for growth initiatives, investments and strategic projects, ensuring every case is anchored in quantified value drivers, execution requirements, risks and accountability. Partner with Finance and SMEs around the Business to validate assumptions and ensure alignment. Create best-in-class models to present metrics such as FCF, ROI, payback, IRR and enterprise value impact.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional work with key Functions and Regions to gather inputs, align trade-offs, shape priorities and drive transformation programmes from idea to value delivery. Facilitate structured senior-level problem solving to define strategic initiatives with quantified impact, clear owners, milestones and decision points.
• Executive-Level Deliverables: Craft clear, insight-led materials for our Shareholders, ELT and senior stakeholders across the Business. Translate complex financial and strategic analysis into compelling Board- and Executive-ready narratives in PowerPoint, with a strong emphasis on value creation logic, investment choices, risks, dependencies and expected outcomes.
• Transformation & Value Delivery Tracking: Support and strengthen the tracking of strategic initiatives through our value delivery office, ensuring benefits are baselined, quantified, owned and delivered. Develop an independent view on where leadership attention is required, identify risks to value capture and work with Functional teams to define mitigation actions, acceleration opportunities and course corrections.
• M&A & Strategic Investment Analysis: Drive identification, screening and evaluation of potential M&A deals, partnerships and strategic investments as part of Versuni's broader value creation agenda. Conduct initial financial assessment of targets, including revenue quality, margin structure, synergy potential, integration considerations and value creation levers. Build valuation models (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions) and perform scenario analysis to inform investment decisions and strategic choices.

The skills and knowledge you'll bring:

• Minimum 12 years of experience in Strategy, Corporate development, Business transformation, Value creation or related senior strategic roles
• Background combining top-tier management consulting (preferred 3–5 years minimum) and industry experience within Strategy, Corporate development, FP&A, Transformation or Value creation
• Strong financial modelling capabilities (advanced Excel required; modelling discipline essential), including deep understanding of P&L mechanics, cash flow, margin drivers and value creation levers
• Ability to step back from the detail, identify material value opportunities, and autonomously scope how to capture and deliver tangible outcomes with functional teams
• Proven experience building robust, investment-grade business cases for senior decision-makers, with clear articulation of value, risks, choices and execution requirements
• Structured thinker with strong hypothesis-driven problem solving
• Highly detail-oriented, with exceptional PowerPoint crafting skills
• Strong stakeholder management skills; comfortable influencing senior leaders, constructively challenging assumptions and driving alignment across functions
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred
