Job summary

FTI Consulting in Amsterdam is seeking an experienced M&A professional to join the M&A advisory team, supporting strategic reviews, acquisitions, divestments and restructurings. The role focuses on transactions in The Netherlands and collaborates with international sector teams and other Amsterdam offices.

You will manage day-to-day transactions, review pitchbooks and financial models (DCF, LBO, DDM), mentor juniors, and contribute to business development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in M&A, with 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications, work ethic and collaboration.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral part of the concise M&A team, covering clients and prospects to identify and deliver marketing ideas and business solutions in support of corporate strategies.
• Manage day-to-day transactions and assignments with minimal oversight.
• Review pitchbooks, memorandums, presentations and other projects.
• Review financial models (DCF, DDM, LBO, etc.) to analyse client projects.
• Assist in origination and execution of domestic or cross-border transactions, evaluating risk and managing tasks including valuation and strategic reviews.
• Support junior team with mentoring and career development.
