Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Director, Compound Development Team Leader (CDTL) to lead a cross-functional CDT and drive the compound strategy across development stages from discovery through early development. The role requires strong leadership, strategy, and collaboration across global partners.

The CDTL will oversee budgeted plans, coordinate with PM and alliance partners, and ensure timely, compliant progression of programs while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading clinical development programs in the target therapeutic area.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix organization to access resources.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Actively contributes to Compound Strategy decisions with research and analysis.
• Leads CDT to maximize compound value while minimizing cost and time.
• Builds team effectiveness and negotiates with function heads on deliverables.
• Drives strategy communication to leadership and partners, and ensures alignment.
• Manages resources, budgets, and contingency planning across CDT.
