About the role
As our Digital Marketing Specialist – CRM & Social, you'll make sure our customers receive relevant communication at the right moment.
Your main focus will be CRM and lifecycle marketing. You'll develop customer journeys, build targeted campaigns and use customer and product data to make our communication increasingly relevant and personalised.
Think onboarding, activation, engagement, cross-sell, retention and win-back.
You'll also contribute to our organic social media channels, translating campaigns, product launches and company developments into engaging content for our audiences.
The role is approximately 70% CRM & lifecycle marketing and 30% social media and broader digital campaigns.
You'll join our Product & Marketing team and work closely with colleagues across Product, Customer Success, Data and Marketing. This is a hands‑on role where you'll have plenty of room to experiment, improve the way we work and help shape our CRM and lifecycle marketing approach.
What you'll do
- Develop, build and optimise automated customer journeys across the customer lifecycle, including onboarding, activation, engagement, cross-sell, retention and win-back.
- Create and manage targeted email campaigns, newsletters and other customer communications in HubSpot.
- Turn customer behaviour, product data and commercial opportunities into relevant segments and personalised campaigns.
- Coordinate campaigns from start to finish: from audience selection and briefing to content, setup, testing, launch and reporting.
- Continuously improve campaign performance through A/B testing, experimentation and analysis.
- Monitor CRM performance across metrics such as engagement, conversion, retention, deliverability, unsubscribes and revenue contribution.
- Work with Product, Customer Success, Data and Marketing to identify relevant customer moments and opportunities.
- Manage our organic social media planning and publishing.
- Translate product launches, campaigns and company updates into engaging social content.
- Analyse social media performance and use those insights to improve future content.
- Help improve the quality and structure of our customer data, campaign processes, templates, documentation and reporting.
- Use AI where it adds value, for example in research, content creation, personalisation and campaign optimisation.
- Bring new ideas and help us develop an increasingly automated, data-driven and customer-focused marketing approach.
What you bring
We're primarily looking for someone who understands CRM and lifecycle marketing in practice and enjoys building and improving campaigns and customer journeys.
- HBO-level working and thinking ability, developed through education, professional experience or a combination of both.
- Around 3+ years of relevant experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, email marketing, marketing automation or a similar field.
- Hands‑on experience with HubSpot Marketing Hub or a comparable CRM and marketing automation platform.
- The ability to independently build and manage campaigns, workflows, customer journeys and segments.
- A good understanding of segmentation, personalisation and behavioural triggers.
- Confidence working with data and turning results into concrete improvements.
- Experience with A/B testing and campaign optimisation.
- Strong copywriting skills and the ability to make digital products and propositions clear and engaging.
- An understanding of email deliverability, consent, GDPR and responsible use of customer data.
- Experience planning and publishing organic social content.
- A proactive approach: you take ownership while actively collaborating with others.
- Excellent Dutch and good English language skills. A large part of our customer communication is in Dutch, so professional Dutch proficiency is essential.
For this role, you need to currently live in the Netherlands and be able to work from our Almere office at least two days per week.
Nice to have
You don't need to tick every box. Experience in one or more of these areas is a plus:
- Subscription products, e-commerce, SaaS, hosting or other digital services.
- Customer retention, cross-sell, upsell or customer lifetime value.
- Social media management, content planning or community management.
- Tools such as Snowflake, Tableau, Google Analytics, Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Using AI for content creation, personalisation, campaign optimisation or workflow automation.
What we offer
You'll get the trust and freedom to do your best work, alongside colleagues who share knowledge, help each other and give you room to try new ideas.
And, of course, there's more:
- €4,300 – €5,300 gross per month based on a 40-hour working week, depending on your experience and expertise.
- Hybrid working, with at least two days per week together at our office in Almere.
- Plenty of opportunities to learn and develop.
- A contribution towards your sports membership.
- Access to our bike leasing scheme.
- A freshly prepared lunch three times a week at the office.
- Regular chair massages at the office.
- Share Points, which can be converted into Good Shares, giving you the opportunity to become a small co-owner and share in the success we build together.
Most importantly, you'll have the freedom to experiment, bring new ideas to life and have a real influence on how we develop our marketing.
Not sure you tick every box?
We're interested in what you already bring, what you'd like to learn and the perspective you can add to our team. Different experiences, backgrounds and perspectives help us build better products and make better decisions.
