Job summary

Prosus Group is offering a six-month paid Digital & AI Governance Internship in Amsterdam. You will support global regulatory and IP initiatives, work closely with the Group IP Lead, and gain hands-on experience with AI tools and regulatory frameworks.

The role targets a master’s student in IP or competition law, based in the Netherlands, with strong English communication and an interest in technology policy.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a master’s degree in IP or Competition Law in the Netherlands.
• Strong interest in technology, AI and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication in English; organized and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze global digital regulations (GDPR, EU AI Act, DSA) and assess impact.
• Assist in developing compliance programs with the Group IP Lead.
• Support competition policy initiatives and related projects.
• Support privacy, AI governance initiatives and related projects.
• Draft presentations and conduct training for internal stakeholders.
• Explore and test AI tools to enhance regulatory processes using the Toqan platform.

The Opportunity

To support Prosus goals and ambitions to lead AI innovation and improve everyday life for billions across the globe through cutting-edge technology, Prosus has developed a comprehensive global IP strategy, encompassing asset development, protection, and commercialization.

As a Digital Regulatory Intern, you will play a key role in supporting our global regulatory and intellectual property initiatives. This 6-month paid internship, based in our Amsterdam office, offers hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge AI tools, exposure to global regulatory frameworks, and the opportunity to contribute to high‑impact projects across the Prosus ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze global digital regulations, including GDPR, the EU AI Act, and the Digital Services Act (DSA), to assess their impact on Prosus companies.

• Assist in developing and maintaining intellectual property compliance programs in collaboration with the Group IP Lead.

• Support the Global Head of Competition Policy in implementing competition law initiatives and related projects.

• Support the Group Head of Privacy, Digital & AI Governance in implementing privacy, AI and digital regulation initiatives and related projects.

• Draft presentations and conduct training sessions on digital and regulatory topics for internal stakeholders.

• Explore and test AI tools to enhance regulatory and legal processes, including building and optimizing AI‑driven tools using the Toqan platform.

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Intellectual Property or Competition Law in the Netherlands.

• Based in the Netherlands and able to work in the Amsterdam office.

• Strong interest in technology, AI, and regulatory frameworks.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Structured, well‑organized, and adaptable to different tasks.

• Preferred: Experience with agentic AI and/or AI governance.

• Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks, Intellectual Property, Data Privacy, or Competition Law
