Job summary

Next Ventures seeks an experienced Telecom Service Orchestration Engineer for a 12-month engagement in the Netherlands, primarily remote. You will develop orchestration workflows, support activation and fulfilment, and build API-based integrations across OSS/BSS platforms.

You will bring hands-on telecom OSS/BSS, service orchestration, and network provisioning expertise, plus Java/Python/SQL development, and CI/CD/DevOps know-how. Occasional onsite visits may be required.

Contract: 12 months | Location: Netherlands, predominantly remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Service Orchestration Engineer to support a long-term telecom programme in the Netherlands. Candidates should have hands-on experience with telecom OSS/BSS environments, service orchestration, network provisioning and systems integration. Experience with a specific platform is not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain telecom service orchestration and provisioning workflows.
• Support order management, fulfilment, service activation and network resource management.
• Build and maintain integrations between OSS/BSS platforms using APIs and web services.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and improve platform reliability and automation.
• Support platform migrations, system modernisation, testing and deployments.
• Collaborate with architects, engineering teams and operational stakeholders.
• Strong telecommunications industry experience.
• Hands-on experience in service orchestration, network provisioning, service activation or order fulfilment.
• Good understanding of telecom OSS/BSS platforms and integrations.
• Experience with APIs, REST/SOAP services or similar integration technologies.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to Amdocs Cramer, Nokia, Ericsson, Blue Planet, Netcracker or similar platforms.
• Development experience with Java, Python or SQL.
• Knowledge of automation, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience with OSS/BSS migrations or integration modernisation.
• Initial 12-month freelance contract.
• Netherlands-based, predominantly remote.
• Occasional onsite attendance may be required.
