Job summary

Little Concepts BV in Amsterdam is seeking a creative and commercially minded Designer to develop trend-driven collections across jewelry, gifts, stationery, and hair accessories for leading European retailers.

You will manage the process from concept to final product, collaborating with suppliers in China, reviewing samples locally, and ensuring our designs meet creative, commercial, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• A completed degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, Fashion, or related field (Dutch HBO/Bachelor level).
• At least 3 years of recent, demonstrable experience in collection or product design.
• Experience with jewelry, gifts, stationery, hair accessories, or similar consumer products is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Identifying the latest trends in jewelry, gifts, stationery, and hair accessories for children, teens, and adults, and translating these into commercial product concepts.
• Developing innovative and attractive collections tailored to the mass market.
• Designing packaging, displays, and other visual product presentations.
• Creating detailed technical drawings and designs using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Managing administrative tasks related to your collections, including workflow, documentation, and file management.
• Working closely with our colleagues and suppliers in China to communicate and develop your designs.
• Reviewing, assessing, and checking incoming samples at our office in Amsterdam.
• Working closely with the wider team to ensure collections meet our creative, commercial, quality, and customer requirements.

What will you do?

Little Concepts BV is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Designer to join our team and develop exciting collections across jewelry, gifts, stationery, and hair accessories.

As a designer at Little Concepts, you will create creative, trend-driven, and commercially successful collections for leading European retailers, including Action, Kruidvat, Wibra, and Vomar. You will work from the initial concept through to the final product, combining creativity with a strong understanding of the mass market.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying the latest trends in jewelry, gifts, stationery, and hair accessories for children, teens, and adults, and translating these into commercial product concepts.

Who are you?

You are a creative and commercially minded designer who loves turning trends and ideas into products that people want to buy.

You have:

• A completed degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, Fashion, or a related field, at a minimum of Dutch HBO/Bachelor level.
• At least 3 years of recent, demonstrable experience in collection or product design.
• Experience with jewelry, gifts, stationery, hair accessories, or similar consumer products is a strong plus.
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• A strong sense of trends and an interest in lifestyle, fashion, retail, and consumer products.
• A creative mindset combined with a practical and commercial approach.
• Strong communication and social skills.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• A flexible attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile when needed.
• A good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
