Job summary

Moods Studio in Amsterdam, remote across Europe with on-site options in Amsterdam or Naples, seeks a Design Intern to develop UI/UX and product design skills. You will collaborate with experienced designers, create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, and explore AI-assisted design workflows to accelerate prototyping.

We offer mentorship, a structured learning plan, weekly reviews, and a portfolio-ready project with a written reference upon completion.

Qualifications

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Design, UI/UX, Digital Media, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of Figma and interest in digital product design.
• Understanding of visual design principles, typography, layout, and user experience.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Interest in AI-native design workflows and emerging technologies.
• Ability to receive feedback, ask questions, and collaborate with a team.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• UI/UX Design: Support the creation of intuitive and responsive web and mobile interfaces.
• Product Design: Turn briefs and ideas into wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Design Systems: Create and improve Figma components, variants, and design tokens.
• Interface Design: Design responsive layouts and interface states including loading, empty, and error states.
• Team Collaboration: Work with designers and frontend developers to understand how designs become real products.
• Design Reviews: Present work, explain decisions, and incorporate feedback.
• AI-Native Design: Experiment with AI-powered tools to support ideation and prototyping.
• Portfolio Development: Build a portfolio-ready project with mentor guidance.

About the Role

We’re looking for a creative, curious, and motivated Design Intern who wants to develop their skills in UI/UX, product design, and digital experiences.

You’ll work alongside experienced designers and developers, contributing to real-world projects while learning how to turn ideas into intuitive, visually engaging, and functional digital products.

You’ll also explore how AI-powered design tools and generative AI can enhance creativity, accelerate prototyping, and improve design workflows.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Design, UI/UX, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Figma and an interest in digital product design.

• Ability to receive feedback, ask questions, and collaborate with a team.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with design systems, Figma components, and auto layout.
• Experience with AI-powered creative tools such as Figma AI, Midjourney, ChatGPT, or similar.
• Basic understanding of frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, React, or Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with motion design, illustration, or 3D design.
• Interest in SaaS, AI applications, blockchain, or Web3 products.
• Italian or Dutch language skills.
