Job summary

Dentsu Creative Amsterdam’s AI Studio is seeking an AI Designer Intern to blend design sensibility with a passion for AI. You’ll transform ideas into outputs by partnering with creatives, exploring AI as a creative partner in production and storytelling.

You’ll experiment with tools like Midjourney, Runway, and Stable Diffusion, refine AI-generated visuals with Adobe Creative Suite, and work on client work and internal R&D in a fast-paced, open, creative environment.

Qualifications

• Currently studying or recently graduated in visual design, graphic design, photography, videography, or a technology‑related field.
• Technically curious with a drive to test and rebuild workflows using AI tools.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma with ability to translate visual intent into AI prompts.
• Experience in videography and interest in cinematography and filmmaking.
• Able to work at least four days per week with an organized, entrepreneurial mindset.
• Self-starter with a passion for modern digital experiences and collaboration.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a nice‑to‑have.

At Dentsu Creative Amsterdam, our AI Studio team crafts next‑level brand content, from exciting social content and OOH campaign visuals to big TV commercials entirely executed with AI. We’re looking for a design‑savvy creative with a deep interest in artificial intelligence and a drive for technical experimentation. You merge a strong visual sensibility with a fascination for emerging technology. You’ll work alongside creatives and designers to explore how AI can redefine creativity, production, and storytelling — transforming ideas into outputs by using AI not just as a tool, but as a creative partner.

What you will be doing

• Experiment with and evaluate various AI tools - from text and image generators to automation platforms - to push the boundaries of visual content creation.
• Engineer powerful prompts that bring artistic ideas to life and fine‑tune outputs for high‑quality creative tasks.
• Design and build internal workflows and templates that integrate AI tools into streamlined creative production processes.
• Use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) to refine, edit, and polish AI‑generated content, ensuring it meets professional design standards.
• Support teams by responding to creative briefs, using Gen‑AI to generate concepts, visuals, and prototypes for client work and internal R&D.
• Stay on the pulse of AI trends and share discoveries of new tools or plugins that can elevate the team’s creative output.

Your Profile

• A designer at heart, currently studying or recently graduated in visual design, graphic design, photography, videography, or a technology‑related field.
• Technically curious and experimental, with a drive to test, break, and rebuild workflows using tools like Midjourney, ChatGPT, Runway, or Stable Diffusion.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, with a strong aesthetic eye for translating visual intent into effective AI prompts.
• Has experience in videography and an interest in cinematography and filmmaking, which will help in video production processes.
• Able to work at least four days per week with an organized, adaptable, and entrepreneurial mindset.
• A self‑starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for modern digital experiences.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a nice‑to‑have.
• Collaborative, energetic, and kind – you care about the work and the people behind it.

Bonus Points If…

• Motion design or animation skills (e.g., After Effects, Blender, or AI video tools like Pika and Kaiber).
• An understanding of UX/UI principles or scripting skills (Python, JavaScript) for automation and generative design.
