Qualifications

• Minimaal 18 jaar.

Responsibilities

• Rijden en bezorgen van groceries bij klanten in Zwolle.

• Kratten terugnemen en retourverpakkingen verzamelen.

As a delivery driver for Albert Heijn Online in Zwolle, you make sure customers receive their groceries at their doorstep. Your working day combines driving, customer contact and physical activity.

Before starting your route, you report to the Albert Heijn Online location in Zwolle. You collect the keys to your delivery van, check your route and prepare for departure. Once everything is ready, you head to your first customer.

Navigation guides you from one address to the next throughout Zwolle and the surrounding area. At each stop, you find the correct order in the van and use a handheld scanner to check the groceries. You then carry the crates to the customer's door and hand over the order.

Customer service is an important part of the job. You greet customers in a friendly way, answer questions when needed and make sure each delivery is handled properly. Some deliveries may require you to process a payment. You also collect empty crates and returnable packaging.

Once everything is taken care of, you continue to the next address.

This means you are not sitting behind the wheel for your entire shift. You regularly get in and out of the van, walk to customers' doors and lift grocery crates. It is an active role with plenty of variety throughout the day.

After completing your final delivery, you return to the Zwolle location. You finish your route, return the necessary equipment and leave the delivery van ready for the next shift.

Albert Heijn Online delivers seven days a week. Depending on your availability, you can work between 12 and 32 hours per week.

Do I need previous delivery experience?

No. Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is not required.

How flexible is the schedule?

You can submit your availability, which is taken into account when the schedule is created.

There are shifts available from Monday through Sunday at different times of the day. You can work between 12 and 32 hours per week.

For this position, you need to be available for at least two shifts per week and at least two Saturdays per month.

What does a normal shift look like?

You start at the location in Zwolle, collect your van and check your route. From there, you drive to the customers scheduled for your shift.

At each address, you scan and deliver the correct groceries, help the customer when necessary and collect empty crates. Once all deliveries are completed, you return to the location and finish your shift.

Because the routes, addresses and customers change, no two working days are exactly the same.

Can I grow within this position?

Yes. Once you have gained enough experience, there are opportunities to take on additional responsibilities.

For example, you may become a buddy and help new delivery drivers during their first working days.

• You have a valid category B driving licence.
