Albert Heijn Online in Barendrecht is seeking a Delivery Driver to ensure online grocery orders are delivered to customers' homes. You start by preparing the route in Barendrecht, then drive to customers and hand over groceries with a friendly service.

Shifts include early morning 06:00–14:00 and 15:00–23:00 with part-time and full-time options. Training is provided and you may join an experienced colleague during start days.

Functieomschrijving Delivery Driver Albert Heijn Online | Barendrecht

As a delivery driver for Albert Heijn Online, you make sure customers receive their online grocery orders at home.

Your shift starts in Barendrecht, where you prepare for the route ahead. Once everything is ready, you get behind the wheel and drive to the first customer on your schedule.

At each address, you take the correct grocery order from the van and carry the crates to the customer's front door. You hand over the groceries carefully, provide friendly service and collect empty crates when necessary.

Once the delivery is complete, you continue to the next stop.

Driving is only one part of your working day. You regularly get in and out of the van, walk between the vehicle and customers' homes and lift grocery crates. This makes the role a combination of driving, physical activity and customer contact.

After completing your final delivery, you return to the location in Barendrecht and finish your shift.

Do I need previous delivery experience?

No. Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is not required.

You will receive training before working independently. During your first working days, you can join an experienced colleague and learn how a normal delivery route works in practice.

What are the working hours?

There are two main shifts:

• Morning shift: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM
• Afternoon/evening shift: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Both part-time and full-time opportunities are available.

Is Saturday availability required?

Yes. You must be available for at least two Saturdays per month. This is a mandatory requirement for the position.

Is this a physically active job?

Yes. You will regularly carry grocery crates and walk between the delivery van and customers' doors.

You therefore need to be physically able to perform these tasks throughout your shift.
