Job summary

Consolid is recruiting for an Albert Heijn Online Delivery Driver role in Amsterdam. You will start at Beiraweg 6, prepare the van, and deliver groceries to customers across Amsterdam and surrounding areas. You’ll hand over orders with friendly service and manage crates on return trips.

Shifts include morning and afternoon/evening, with part-time and full-time options. Requirements include a valid B driving licence, ability to lift crates, independence, and Dutch and/or English communication.

• Return empty crates and manage crates transfer as needed.
• Drive safely and navigate routes across Amsterdam.
• Complete each delivery and return to base to prepare for next shift.

Work as a delivery driver for Albert Heijn Online in Amsterdam. Earn €18.83 gross per hour all-in from age 21 and choose part-time or full-time hours.

Functieomschrijving Delivery Driver Albert Heijn Online | Amsterdam

Your working day starts at the Albert Heijn Online Home Shop Center at Beiraweg 6 in Amsterdam.

Before leaving, you check your route and prepare the delivery van for the shift ahead. Once everything is ready, you head out to deliver groceries to customers throughout Amsterdam and the surrounding area.

At every stop, you take the correct grocery order from the van and carry the crates to the customer's door. You make sure the order is delivered carefully and provide friendly service during the handover. Empty crates may also need to be taken back with you.

Then you continue to your next address.

Driving is an important part of the position, but you will also spend plenty of time on your feet. Getting in and out of the van, walking to customers' doors and lifting grocery crates are all part of a normal working day.

The routes take you through different parts of Amsterdam and the surrounding area, so your surroundings and customers change throughout the day.

After completing your final delivery, you return to Beiraweg 6, finish your route and leave the van ready for the next shift.

Do I need previous delivery experience?

No. Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is not required.

You will receive training when you start, and during your first working days you can join an experienced colleague. This gives you the opportunity to learn the job in practice before driving routes independently.

What are the working hours?

There are two main shifts:

Morning shift: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM

Afternoon/evening shift: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Both part-time and full-time opportunities are available.

Do I have to work on Saturdays?

You need to be available for at least two Saturdays per month. This is a mandatory requirement for the position.

Is the job physically demanding?

The position involves regular physical activity. You will carry grocery crates, walk between the delivery van and customers' doors and get in and out of the vehicle throughout your shift.

You therefore need to be physically able to perform these tasks safely.
