Job summary
TNO seeks a network professional to manage and develop several experimental and communication networks in challenging environments. You will work across IPv4/IPv6, routing, Cisco technologies and security solutions to support researchers and technical staff during exercises in the Netherlands and abroad.
You will translate requirements into secure, available network environments, collaborate with international experts, and participate in an on-call rotation during evenings or weekends when
Qualifications
- Bachelor's HBO level in Computer Science, Network & Security Engineering, Information Science or related field.
- Several years of experience in network administration or engineering.
- Solid knowledge of IPv4/IPv6, routing, and networking protocols.
- Excellent command of English enabling international collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Manage, configure and develop experimental network environments.
- Translate researchers' requirements into functional networks.
- Ensure security and availability of networks during exercises.
- Analyze, resolve technical issues and implement improvements.
- Investigate and apply new networking and security technologies.
- Collaborate with Dutch and international defence and security experts.
- Serve as primary contact for users of the network environments.
