Job summary

University of Amsterdam is seeking a Data Steward for ASCoR to advise researchers on data management, privacy, and compliance with GDPR. You will work with the Legal and Privacy/Security teams and support the Ethics Review Board while promoting FAIR data and Open Science principles.

You will coordinate data management plans, contribute to policy development, and help researchers draft data-sharing agreements in a collaborative, international academic environment in Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• Interest in supporting researchers and the research process, including FAIR data and privacy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Organized and proactive with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Advise researchers on research data management, including how to collect, store, and securely share data.
• Collaborate with the Legal Department and Information Privacy/Security team on privacy and security aspects of research projects and collaborations.
• Provide trainings for researchers on data management and privacy.
• Review research projects submitted to the Research Management Services Portal and support ASCoR’s research manager and ERB as needed.
