Job summary

ShanX MedTech BV in Eindhoven is seeking a Data Scientist to lead data analysis and algorithm development for a rapid diagnostic device. You will work with clinical and reference datasets, apply statistical methods and machine learning, and help translate insights into software for diagnostic applications.

The role requires a Master’s in data science or related field, 2 years’ experience, Python/R/SQL proficiency, and a willingness to work in a laboratory environment with bacteria.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in data science, CS, statistics, or related field.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar function.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation and modeling.
• Experience with data cleaning and preprocessing.
• Knowledge of ML concepts and algorithms.
• Fluency in English and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct R&D to generate data for training algorithms.
• Lead analysis of large clinical datasets and reference data.
• Develop and refine models for diagnosis and predictive analytics.
• Engineer features to improve model performance.
• Validate models using cross-validation and other techniques.
• Create clear data visualizations for stakeholders.
