Job summary

DataSnipper is seeking a Data Engineering Team Lead to guide the Data Platform team, owning people, roadmap and technical direction in a hands-on, high-ownership setting. You will lead two data engineers and partner with Product, Customer Success and GTM to shape the roadmap and ensure reliable, scalable data solutions.

The role offers a path into engineering management with a small, autonomous team, and a strong emphasis on outcomes, experimentation and architectural excellence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering or related backend/platform role
• Experience leading engineers and delivering outcomes
• Strong SQL and Python with performance tuning
• Production experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake) and dbt
• Experience with event-driven/streaming ingestion
• Ability to defend data modeling decisions to stakeholders
• Excellent communication in English

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of two data engineers through outcomes, not tasks
• Shape the team's roadmap with Product, Engineering, Customer Success and GTM
• Own technical direction and architectural decisions
• Maintain Snowflake performance and cost, and governance obligations
• Stay hands-on in the data platform and contribute to ingestion and dbt pipelines
