Microsoft Purview Specialist – Implementation Expert

Job Description

RIVM is seeking an experienced Microsoft Purview Specialist for the Microsoft 365 environment who will complete the implementation of confidentiality labels, retention labels, and associated governance. The project has started in the assessment and approval phase of a new taxonomy. Once approved, this taxonomy will form the basis for the setup of Microsoft Purview. The specialist will take over the project, carry out the implementation, and deliver it within the set schedule (technical delivery no later than March 31, 2026).

Responsibilities

• Review the current design of confidentiality and retention labels and conduct an impact analysis.
• Translate the approved taxonomy into a concrete technical design.
• Design, configure, and test confidentiality labels (with/without encryption).
• Analyze the functional impact on collaboration, document sharing, and external applications.
• Implement retention labels and policies at the organizational level.
• Document design choices and governance.
• Transfer to the internal management team.
• Support adoption and awareness after implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Business Informatics.
• Information Security Foundation (ISO/IEC 27002).
• ITSM / ITIL Foundation.
• Application Management Foundation.
• Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG codes 11, 12, 13, 41) required.
