Curamando, part of the consulting collective Eidra, is a leading digital growth consultancy, combining deep expertise in strategy, marketing, and technology to help ambitious companies accelerate their digital, data and AI transformation. Curamando Netherlands is currently building its data capability. Data already plays a key role in many of our AI and transformation projects, but we are now taking the next step: forming a dedicated data team that helps clients unlock value from data more structurally and at scale.

This role is central to that ambition. As Data Lead, you will help shape the vision, define the offering, and build the team; while remaining closely involved in client work. We believe data only creates value when it is tightly connected to business goals, decision‑making and delivery. That principle sits at the heart of this role.

Your role as Data Lead

As a Data Lead, you are responsible for building and scaling Curamando’s data capability in the Netherlands. You combine an entrepreneurial, company‑builder mindset with strong delivery skills. You shape the direction, lead client work, and help grow both the team and the proposition.

You operate at the intersection of business, data and technology, often in growth, marketing and commercial contexts where data drives revenue and customer value. You work closely with consultants, engineers and client teams to ensure data initiatives deliver real impact. Not just insights or dashboards, but better decisions, improved performance and tangible outcomes.

This is a build‑and‑scale role. In the early phase, you will be hands‑on in projects yourself. Over time, you will grow and lead a data team, define ways of working, and raise the bar on quality, impact and commercial relevance.

What will you do?

You will:

• Build and lead Curamando’s data capability. Shape the data vision and offering, make the first hires, and set pragmatic ways of working as the team grows.

• Lead high‑impact data projects for clients. Own projects end‑to‑end, from framing the business problem to delivering data solutions that drive measurable outcomes.

• Ensure data work creates business value. Translate data initiatives into clear use cases, business cases and success metrics, and make pragmatic trade‑offs to deliver impact fast.

• Stay hands‑on where it matters. Contribute to and review analyses, models and data solutions, especially in early projects, and help teams move forward when things get stuck.

• Grow accounts and support commercial work. Help scope projects, contribute to proposals and pitches, and identify follow‑up opportunities with existing clients.

What do you bring?

You:

• Have an entrepreneurial, builder’s mindset and enjoy creating momentum from scratch.

• Bring around 8+ years of experience in data, analytics or data science, including senior or lead roles in a consulting or enterprise environment.

• Are comfortable owning both direction and delivery, and turning ambiguity into progress.

• Are hands‑on where it matters, especially in the early phase of building the data team:

  • Structuring and exploring data

  • Defining metrics, KPIs and success criteria

  • Reviewing queries, notebooks, models or dashboards

  • Translating analyses into clear, business‑focused narratives

  • Stay close enough to execution to spot weak assumptions, avoid over‑engineering and unblock teams.

• Have experience leading data‑driven work in a consulting or enterprise environment.

• Understand how data initiatives create commercial and strategic value, not just insights.

• Move comfortably between strategy and execution, and between C‑level conversations and project teams.

• Work effectively in multidisciplinary teams (strategy, engineering, product).

• Communicate in a structured and convincing way with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• Are pragmatic by nature, make sound trade‑offs under time pressure, and focus on outcomes over perfection.

• Have experience hiring, coaching and developing people, and enjoy growing others as much as delivering yourself.
