Job summary

Adaptfy is seeking a Data Governance Implementation Lead in Amsterdam to drive governance for a SHV group, creating reusable blocks, templates, and playbooks. You will collaborate with business and IT to establish ownership, definitions, and decision forums, and you will work with architecture, privacy, and security specialists to deliver concrete execution plans.

Qualifications

• Experience initiating data or governance efforts from scratch, including securing sponsorship and stakeholder buy-in.
• Comfortable engaging senior business stakeholders directly, building those relationships yourself.
• Ability to take a broad, ambiguous mandate and structure it into a clear first starting point.
• Strong communication skills, able to translate data concepts into business value for both technical and business audiences.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, analytics, business analysis, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Identify priority stakeholders, pain points, and governance gaps together with business and IT.
• Define clear ownership, data owners, stewards, custodians, and decision forums, and get stakeholders to commit to them.
• Facilitate workshops to align business and technical stakeholders on ownership, definitions, and decision-making.
• Turn what works into reusable templates, playbooks, and accelerators for other SHV Groups.
• Draw on Adaptfy's technical, architecture, and privacy specialists to execute the detailed technical work.
