Job Description

As a Data Governance Analyst, you will:

  • Support Credit Risk data management initiatives within the banking and financial services domain.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, Technical Developers, IT teams, and Solution Architects to define and implement data-related solutions.
  • Contribute to data governance activities, including metadata management, data catalog maintenance, and business glossary development.
  • Monitor data quality issues, coordinate resolution activities, and support continuous data quality improvement efforts.
  • Analyze data structures, databases, data warehouses, and SQL-based datasets to support business requirements.
  • Prepare clear documentation, data definitions, process artifacts, and stakeholder communications.
  • Facilitate discussions with business and technology teams to ensure alignment on data standards and governance practices.
  • Lead small teams and drive delivery against agreed objectives while ensuring quality and timely execution.
What You Bring to the Table
  • 8+ years of professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years in the banking or financial services industry, preferably within the Credit Risk domain.
  • Hands‑on experience in data management and exposure to data governance practices.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools such as Collibra, including metadata management and data catalog support activities.
  • Experience working with data quality concepts, issue identification, monitoring, and remediation processes.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, databases, data warehouses, and SQL.
  • Proven experience collaborating with cross‑functional business and technology stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation capabilities.
  • Experience leading small teams and managing deliverables against defined objectives.
You Should Possess the Ability to
  • Translate business requirements into effective data management and governance solutions.
  • Work closely with business users, IT teams, developers, and architects in a collaborative environment.
  • Analyze complex datasets and identify data quality, governance, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Create and maintain business glossaries, metadata documentation, and data definitions.
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple deliverables in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Drive issue resolution by coordinating with relevant stakeholders across business and technology functions.
  • Lead small teams and ensure successful delivery of assigned initiatives.
