Job summary

Venquis is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines into Snowflake, using dbt for transformations and Python for automation. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions and contribute to analytics, dashboards, and AI initiatives.

The role emphasizes data quality, governance, and integration across cloud platforms, with opportunities to shape the organisation's data platform and analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.
• Experience using dbt for transformation, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Good Python skills with API integrations and automation workflows.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and data governance practices.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and engage with stakeholders.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines into Snowflake from diverse sources.
• Develop and improve transformation logic with dbt and well-documented data models.
• Support creation of trusted datasets for analytics, dashboards, reporting, and AI use cases.
• Build data integrations, APIs, and automation workflows using Python and cloud tech.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Champion data quality, testing, monitoring, and governance best practices.
• Support semantic layers, curated datasets, and reusable business logic.
• Ingest structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from SaaS, APIs, and repositories.
• Enhance data accessibility, reliability, and usability across teams.
